Fez to Marrakech 4 Days 3 Nights Desert Tour Itinerary is a great way to experience the beautiful scenery of the South part of Morocco's kingdom, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains , see the cedar forests and monkeys (Barbay apes), enjoying the Ziz gorge and Valley, camel trek in Erg Chebbi dunes with a local desert guide (camel man) to watch the sunset and sunrise in the next morning, dine under the stars and listen to drums music and spending a night in a nomad tented camp. You will see also Todra gorges, Valley of roses, Visit the kasbah of Ait benhaddou, and cross the high Atlas mountains to reach Marrakech.

Day 1: Fes-Ifran-Azrou -Midelt- Ziz valley

Day 2: Ziz valley-Erfoud-Erissani-Merzouga- Desert Berber camp

Day 3: Merzouga - Todgha Gorges - Dades Valley

Day 4: Dades Valley - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - Tiz n’Tichka Pass – Marrakech



Day 1: Fes-Ifran-Azrou -Midelt- Ziz valley - Erfoud

Today you will have a full travel day through the diverse landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains, gateway to the South of Morocco that makes it so unique. Traverse the fertile landscape and arrive at the first Berber town Immouzzer, This area is well-known for many caves where some berbers still live inside them, then Ifran or The moroccan Switzerland which is the second cleanest City in the world who built by the French in 1930.Then continue through the cedar forests (NATIONAL PARK OF IFRAN) to meet with a Troup of [macac?] monkeys. Lunch will be in a small Berber village zaida (Berber barbecue village). Then you will take a scenic drive through the Ziz valley. Overnight accommodation and dinner will be at Ziz Valley or Erfoud in a hotel local-style, located right on the oases.

Day 2: Ziz valley-Erfoud-Erissani-Merzouga- Desert Berber camp

After a light breakfast, you will have the option to hike for an hour within the valley, where you will meet local Berber families and learn about their cultures and geography or simply relax by the pool in the hotel. Then you will leave towards merzouga via the small town of Erfoud to visit the Fossils Exhibition, and Errissani to visit an inhabited Ksar (Berber village) and to taste the medfouna for lunch, a delicious local Berber pizza, it’s a lively town with a frequent market days. In the afternoon, your private driver will take you into the Sahara desert, There, you can wash up at the hotel and after some rest, you will mount your camels for a beautiful trek to your desert camp, enjoying Berber music and dinner (cooked by your camel man guide) under the stars and spend the night in nomadic tent.

Day 3: Merzouga - Todgha Gorges - Dades Valley

In the morning Very Early your camel man will wake you up to watch the best sunrise of your life on the top of the dune in the Sahara Desert, and ride home. Once in Merzouga, enjoy a refreshing swim or shower and grab a light breakfast before hitting the road for the High Atlas Mountains! We will then head back to the Todgha Gorge where you will be free in the afternoon to explore the gorge (600 feet high), Later you will drive to Boumalne dades where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock creation of Tamnalt Hills as "monkey toes". And stopping for a panoramic view of dades valley. Overnight accommodation and dinner will be at Dades Valley.

Day 4: Dades Valley - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - Tiz n’Tichka Pass - Marrakech

In the morning of your last day of your tour, you will leave towards Marrakech through the Rose Valley of Kelaa M’Gouna witch is known for its rose agriculture. Today is also the day of thousand Kasbahs where you will explore a few on your own or with a guide. Once in Ourzazate, you will have the option of Visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, which is the most important historical building in Ouarzazate, built in 1754, by Glaoui tribe, or Africa’s Hollywood, where Gladiator, Star Wars, and Game of Thrones has been filmed, and visiting the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, wich is the biggest and oldest Kasbah village in Morocco and which is now classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. after lunch drive through the spectacular Tizi n’ Tichka Pass before descending past charming mountains and Berber villages towards Marrakech .Drop off in Marrakech in the afternoon.
