Day 1: Fes-Ifran-Azrou -Midelt- Ziz valley-- Erfoud

Day 2: Ziz valley-Erfoud-Erissani-Merzouga- Desert Berber camp

Day 3: Merzouga – Fes

Day 1 : Fes-Ifran-Azrou -Midelt- Ziz valley-- Erfoud

Today you will have a full travel day through the diverse landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains, gateway to the South of Morocco that makes it so unique. Traverse the fertile landscape and arrive at the first Berber town Immouzzer, This area is well-known for its inhabitants’ cave dwellings. Pass through Ifrane, the town known as Morocco’s Switzerland and home to the international and private University (Al-Akhawayn) who built by the French in 1930. Then continue through the cedar forests (NATIONAL PARK OF IFRAN) to meet with a Troup of [macac?] monkeys. Lunch will be in a small Berber village zaida (Berber barbecue village). Then you will take a scenic drive through the Ziz valley. Overnight accommodation and dinner will be at Ziz Valley or Erfoud in a hotel local-style, located right on the oases.

Day 2: Ziz valley-Erfoud-Erissani-Merzouga- Desert Berber camp

After a light breakfast, you will have the option to hike for an hour within the valley, where you will meet local Berber families and learn about their cultures and geography or simply relax by the pool in the hotel. Then you will leave towards merzouga via the small town of Erfoud to learn about the local fossils, and Errissani to visit an inhabited Ksar (Berber village) and to taste the medfouna for lunch, a delicious local Berber pizza, it’s a lively town with a frequent market days. In the afternoon, your private driver will take you into the Sahara desert, There, you can wash up at the hotel and after some rest, you will mount your camels for a beautiful trek to your desert camp, enjoying Berber music and dinner (cooked by your camel man guide) under the stars and spend the night in nomadic tent.

After watching the best sunrise on the top of the dunes in the Sahara desert, ride back to your auberge to enjoy a shower and grab a traditional breakfast before hitting the road for the High Atlas Mountains, Then take a scenic drive through Ziz valley. Lunch will be served in the small village of Zaida, then continue to the middle atlas mountains through the cedar forests to meet with a Troup of [macac?] and stop for a cup of mint tea in Ifran , the Moroccan Switzerland, then continue to Fez which is the end of the tour.
